Hoboken-Polder station was opened on 10 June 1878, together with the railway connection from Hoboken station to the Antwerp South Station in the former municipality of Hoboken. It lies on the railway line 52. It was closed in 1984 but reopened a few years later in 1988. It is a station without counters with free parking and bicycle parking.
The station was initially called Hoboken. However, from 26 May 1974, when the timetable was reformed on line 52, this name was used for the Hoboken-Kapelstraat stop, and the station has since been called Hoboken-Polder.
