This memorial cenotaph is located in a park near St. Paul Street in St. Catharines, Ontario. Although the cenotaph now mentions other wars, it was originally built to honour those lost in the great war.
The monument was opened on August 7th 1927 and unveiled by W.B.M. King, a Brigadier-General from World War I and the first wreath was laid by Edward the Prince of Wales (who would later become King and then abdicate the throne).
