The choir organ in Ratzeburg Cathedral was built in 1972 by the organ builder Rieger (Vorarlberg, Austria) and placed on the southern edge of the choir room. The instrument was expanded in 1977 and 1997. It has today 13 registers (with partly quite amusing register names) on two manuals and pedal.
