A sign on the upper verandah proclaims it to be the Panther Pub. This refers to The Emmaville Panther, a mythical beast. It has now been worrying the locals for 110 years starting with Harry Leader and his brother in 1902 who, after hearing a blood-curdling roar, shot the animal and sent the hide to Sydney where a tanner told them it was a panther. There have been sightings of its descendants since.

I was there too early for a squash & a look inside but found a website - Motorbike Nation (visit link) which gives it a really good right up.

It offers accommodation, a variety of beers on tap, swag camping on the back lawn, a bottleshop & meals.
