"Courtney "Cory" Steven DeArriba, 39, St. Louis, passed away Saturday, Nov. 22, 2014, at Mercy Hospital St. Louis, Creve Coeur.

"Cory, beloved son of Lucinda Johanning, nee Lynn, and husband Deon, and Mark DeArriba and wife Eileen, was born June 6, 1975, St. Louis. Cory grew up in Labadie and Washington, graduated from Washington High School, and the University of Missouri-Rolla, where he was a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He was employed by Daughtery Business Solutions as an engagement manager.

"Cory lived life to the fullest and lit up the room when he walked through the door. He was a Cardinals fan who loved all sports and enjoyed skiing, playing softball, bowling and participating in fantasy sports leagues. He was an avid golfer, scuba diver, boater and techie, who experienced and explored more of the world than most ever dream of. Cory loved spending time with his friends and family on his boat at the Lake of the Ozarks. He was often described as the ultimate event planner for his multitude of friends. Cory was bright, handsome, charming and will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

"Cory is survived by his parents and one sister, Marcinda DeArriba, St. Louis. He is also survived by three stepsisters, Stephanie Ramage (Casey), Keller, Texas, Sarah Oglesby (Jason), Bentonville, Ark., and Kathryn Weir, Euless, Texas; one step-brother, Aaron Johanning (Amber), Saginaw, Texas; one aunt, Lisbeth Fields (Robin), Berger; one uncle, Lloyd Lynn (Patty), Labadie; nieces; nephews; cousins; and his people (a tremendous army of close and amazing friends).

"He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Lola Jeanne Lynn, Labadie, and Benjamin and Gladys DeArriba, St. Louis; and his great-grandparents, Arvel and Della Lynn, Labadie, Lloyd and Leola Haid, Berger, and Charles and Mercedes DeArriba, St. Louis.

'"Those whom we lose in the springtime of their lives we shall meet again where there is no winter."

"Visitation was held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, at Kutis Funeral Home, 5255 Lemay Ferry Road, Mehlville.

"There will be a celebration of Cory's life at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at the Presbyterian Church, Washington, with family friend, the Rev. Matt Miofsky, and the Rev. Marsha West Eichler officiating.

"Interment will follow at Bethel Cemetery, Labadie.
