The Bridge
The bridge was built as an accommodation bridge for a nearby farm, but these days is no longer used except as a public footpath.
There is a brick stop plank store next to this bridge. Stop planks are used to close off the canal for maintenance purposes. Stop planks are often stored near to bridges or canal locks because the canal is at its narrowest at these points.
