Do you like to get "hands on" with Science? The two-storey Exhibit Hall has over 100 interactive exhibits relating to various themes like "The Machine", "Dinosaurs, Fossils and Coal" and "Nanotechnology". visit link) ] The Illawarra Coal Science Theatre regularly runs a session on one of the biggest industries of the Illawarra coast.
They stock a fairly comprehensive range of science and technology text books and reference books. There are also some science kits, and working models, and functional toys for sales.
When I was there in September 2017, some of the school holiday sessions were: Bubbles & Balloons, Perfect Little Planet, Cosmic Journey, Liquid Nitrogen, and Oasis in Space.
The Museum is open Sunday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm
[During school terms it is closed on Wednesdays.]
