There are two openings. The one I have recorded is the natural opening which is the exit point for the self guided tour. The entrance point is artificial, with a strong steel cover surrounded by natural stones laid horizontally by hand. The over-hanging rocks are loose & you are warned to be careful. A large rock had recently fallen & rested on the cement.
The self guided tour requires you to stand at various points at which point a recorded voice will explain the features & lights will slowly illuminate the surrounds. There is low level lighting along the path throughout the cave & interesting features not subject to explanation are well lit. Wombeyan Creek flows through the cave but water is only visible after heavy rain.
