Hiwassee Road Bridge - Nicoma Park, OK - WPA Projects on Waymarking.com

This WPA bridge over Hiwassee Road is about one-eighth mile north of Reno Avenue. A creek flows north-south, just east of Hiwassee Road, and a tributary runs southeast under this bridge, which has three separate concrete passages, each about 4 ft. high and 8 ft. wide.

At each side of the road, the bridge has four concrete pillars about 3 ft. high in the typical fashion of WPA bridges in this area. A shield is stamped on the curbing at the center of the bridge and reads 1939.
