Of the Romanesque church founded in 1015 by Hildegarde, Countess of Poitou, only the bell tower and the narthex remain. In 1346, the building was ruined by the English troops of Lord Derby, and restored in the second half of the 15th century (1466). The facade of the 12th century was completely remodeled in its lower part in the 15th century.
