"It was a part of the original Connellsville Circuit. The first recorded pastoral appointment was February 2, 1833. The first church building was erected in 1844; the second church building was in 1885-1886. The new church building was erected in 1960-61. It was on a charge with Jacob’s Creek from 1888 until 1895 and with Alverton several times. It became a station appointment in 1959. The 1968 membership was 332. The membership on January 1, 2003 was 147."
