Located at the Ramsay House (named for one of Alexandria's most distinguished founders, William Ramsay, a Scottish merchant and esteemed friend of George Washington), the visitors center provides a wealth of information about Old Town. Brochures on Alexandria's historic attractions, special events, restaurants, accommodations, antique stores, art galleries and import specialty shops are provided by travel counselors.
Make sure to log the
Virginia Historic Marker at the site, too.
