As you leave Interstate-35 and enter the Turner Falls Park area, you will spot this granite building known as the Curio Shop, which sells souvenirs, provides tourist information, and has a concession stand for refreshments.
This is a one-story building constructed of roughly laid granite rocks. It has a hipped roof and multi-paned fixed windows. An exterior rock chimney is located on the south wall. A second level room has been built at a later time, and the roof has been updated with metal siding. The original building was constructed in 1935. Though not confirmed, there is a similarly constructed wall to the west of the building overlooking Turner Falls, which we suspect was also built by the CCC at the same time.
