RECOVERY NOTE BY SOUTH CAROLINA GEODETIC SURVEY 1993 (DDW) STATION IS LOCATED IN GIBSON. OWNERSHIP--SCDOT, DIRECTOR OF PRECONSTRUCTION, P.O. BOX 191, COLUMBIA, SC 29202, PHONE 803-737-1350. TO REACH THE STATION FROM THE JUNCTION OF STATE HIGHWAYS 79 (MAIN STREET) AND 381 (CHURCH STREET) IN GIBSON, GO EAST ON HIGHWAY 79 FOR 0.15 MILE (0.24 KM) TO THE STATION ON THE RIGHT IN THE NORTH WALL AND NEAR THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF A TAN BRICK BUILDING (Z.V. PATE BUILDING). STATION IS A DRILL MARK IN THE WALL AND 4.5 FEET (1.4 M) ABOVE THE SIDEWALK, 12.5 FEET (3.8 M) SOUTH OF THE NORTH EDGE OF THE SOUTH CURB OF THE HIGHWAY, 1.4 FEET (0.4 M) EAST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF THE BUILDING, 26.3 FEET (8.0 M) SOUTHEAST OF A POWER POLE 9208/FH80. RECOVERED BY C.E. GEOGHEGAN.
