The National Capital Commission (NCC) maintains waypoint signs throughout the Greenbelt, a natural area which surrounds the city of Ottawa. The waypoints mark trail intersections. The signs include geographic co-ordinates and a map of other waypoints.

At waypoint 21 H, NCC trail #21 makes a right-angle turn. The north-south trail follows an old property line. Remnants of the old stone fence can still be seen. In the past, the trail continued south from this intersection, heading toward the Bell radio tower.
