This monumental fountain, also known as Fuente de los Niños but actually titled Bimbis, is the work of the sculptor Ana Jiménez and since 1996 has occupied the center of the Plaza de España in Valladolid, just between the two canopies under which in the mornings you can find the fruit and vegetable market.

It consists of a large earth globe bathed in water that rotates without stopping on its axis, reproducing the profiles of the continents in a material that stands out for its polished and shiny material, compared to the matt character of the area that represents water. The sphere is surrounded by three life-size sculptures that represent children playing in different attitudes.
