Texte de la plaque sur le site du parc de la Garde côtière canadienne.

Cette cloche datant du début du XXe siècle servait, entre autres, a baliser le chenal navigable du Saint-Laurent pour les navires marchands. Elle pouvait supporter une cloche de fonte qui servait d’avertisseur sonore.

Le parc est situé à l'intersection de la rue des Traversiers et du boulevard Champlain et peut être visité en tout temps. Vous aurez l'opportunité de prendre une photo près de la cloche.

Text of the plaque on the site of the Canadian Coast Guard Park.

This buoy dating from the early 20th century was used mainly to mark the shipping channel of the Saint-Lawrence for merchant vessels. It could have a cast iron bell acting as an audible warning signal.

The park is located at the intersection of rue des Traversiers and Boulevard Champlain. It can be visited at any time and you will have the opportunity to have your photo taken near the bell.
