Very few of the hundreds of tourists and locals passing by every day know that a Mayan temple is hidden behind the restaurant Las Camelias on 5th Avenue just south of Calle 14 Norte in Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

5th Avenue (Spanish: Quinta Avenida) is a paved pedestrian street and the main tourist artery of Playa. Along Quinta Avenida you will find a variety of restaurants, bars, clubs and many shopping opportunities.
We discovered this small hidden Mayan temple when we explored behind the restaurant while we waited for our meal. From the 5th Avenue enter and go through the House of Massage the Butterflies and you will see the ruin.
