Le travail de recherche, d’interprétation et de scénographie réalisé dans les expositions, invite à découvrir et à comprendre le territoire sauvage du val de Vienne. Les objets, les collections archéologiques, ethnologiques et historiques présentés témoignent d’une histoire, d’un patrimoine riche et permettent de proposer une exposition inédite chaque année.

La ferme conservatoire participe à la préservation de races anciennes à faible effectif. Huit espèces d’animaux entretiennent, par leur pâture, cinq hectares de prairies classées en zone Natura 2000. Une salle d’exposition dédiée aux animaux de la ferme est spécialement adaptée aux visites en famille ; des expérimentations et de nombreux dessins accompagnent la présentation des collections.

The work of research, interpretation and scenography realized in the exhibitions, invites to discover and understand the wild territory of the Val de Vienne. The objects, archeological, ethnological and historical collections presented testify to a rich history, rich heritage and offer an unprecedented exhibition every year.

The conservatory farm participates in the preservation of old breeds with small numbers. Eight species of animals maintain, by their grazing, five hectares of meadows classified in zone Natura 2000. An exhibition room dedicated to the animals of the farm is especially adapted to the visits in family; Experiments and numerous drawings accompany the presentation of the collections.

Visitors should visit the Nature Center and post a photo of themselves (or GPS unit) either inside or outside of the nature center visited. Logs without photos WILL be allowed if a lenghty description of one's visit and a mention of what they learned is included.
