The parish depended, until the Revolution, the archpriest of Exoudun. In a very remote period, the cure, the church and all that depended on it, were in the hands of the chapter of Our Lady the Great, in Poitiers. Built in the late 11th or early 12th century, the church was often remodeled. Only the retaining walls, the apse, the chancel and the south interior door remain. The vault was rebuilt in the 17th century. The Sainte-Anne and Sainte-Marie chapels, dating from the 14th century and threatening to collapse, were restored in 1818. The old porch was demolished and rebuilt at the same time as the current bell tower, in 1882. The building is single nave and flat bedside.

La paroisse dépendit, jusqu'à la Révolution, de l'archiprêtré d'Exoudun. A une époque très reculée, la cure, l'église et tout ce qui en dépendait, se trouvaient aux mains du chapitre de Notre-Dame la Grande, à Poitiers. Construite à la fin du 11e siècle ou au début du 12e, l'église a été souvent remaniée. Il ne reste d'origine que les murs de soutènement, l'abside, le choeur et la porte intérieure sud. La voûte a été rebâtie au 17e siècle. Les chapelles Sainte-Anne et Sainte-Marie, datant du 14e siècle et menaçant de s'écrouler, ont été restaurées en 1818. L'ancien porche a été démoli puis reconstruit en même temps que le clocher actuel, en 1882. L'édifice est à nef unique et à chevet plat.
