Fr:La Commune de BALLAN-MIRE a réalisé en 2010 l’aménagement d’un terrain de tir à l’arc au lieu-dit « la Salle » avec accès jusqu’au pas de tir pour des personnes à mobilité réduite. Cette réalisation a été inaugurée officiellement le 26 juin à l’occasion des journées Portes Ouvertes organisées par la Compagnie des Archers.
Ce terrain de tir à l’arc porte le nom du sportif français Fabrice MEUNIER dont le palmarès dans le handisport est impressionnant : 13 fois Champion de France par équipe et 8 fois en individuel, 1 médaille en championnats d’Europe, 2 médailles en championnat du monde et un titre de vice-champion paralympique aux jeux de PEKIN en 2008.
En:In 2010, the municipality of Ballan-Mire realized the development of an archery field at a place called "La Salle" with access to the firing point for people with reduced mobility. This achievement was officially inaugurated on June 26th during the Open Days organized by the Compagnie des Archers.
This archery field bears the name of the French sportsman Fabrice MEUNIER, whose record in the handisport is impressive: 13 times French champion team and 8 times in individual, 1 medal in European leagues, 2 medals in the league of the world and a Paralympic vice-champion title at the 2008 PEKIN Games.
