The Rathdrum Masonic Temple is built on the grounds that used to hold the Kootenai County Courthouse, at a time when Rathdrum was the County Seat. The current building was built in 1900.

The building has had many uses throughout its life, including community theater, USO hall, Moose Lodge, and most recently, home to a number of Masonic organizations. It is owned by Rathdrum Lodge #41, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Idaho, which was granted dispensation in 1903 and chartered in 1904.
