"Tickled" has its own base, which is mounted atop a granite slab that is part of a decorate flower box. The name of the sculpture suggests that something really is tickling this life-sized Great Dane, but frankly, he looks more like he's having a nice scratch, using his left back paw to reach his neck. The sculpture is made of bronze, and the author's copyright mark, date, and signature, "2010 3/9 Louise Peterson", are on the dog's proper right back paw. Although created in 2010, a sign in front of the sculpture notes that it was purchased in 2014 by the Mayor's Art Council.
