The weathervane shows a heron in flight and is constructed of black metal. It is located in the Canal Quarter and is mounted on one of the converted warehouse buildings at Granary Wharf, that is now home to the Barton Rouge Indian Restaurant on the ground floor.
The Canal Quarter is a small but important piece of Chester's industrial history that is being reclaimed and rejuvenated. Old mills and warehouses have been converted and now contain offices, flats, bars and restaurants. (
