FR A l'entrée de la ville, un panneau nous indique que la ville de Grabels est jumelée avec la commune d'Abalak (Niger)

Grabels est une commune française située dans le département de l'Hérault en région Occitanie et en périphérie de Montpellier.
Le dernier recensement donne 7 939 habitants avec une augmentation de 24,18 % par rapport à 2010.

Abalak ou Abalagh est une ville touareg du Niger, située dans le département d'Abalak et la région de Tahoua.
La vallée d'Abalak jadis verdoyante est orientée est-ouest et est longée par plusieurs petits villages de Tamayas sur 70 km vers Agadez jusqu'à Tahoua en passant par Akebennu, Ibesetan et la grande mare de Tabalak qui, du fait du retrait du Lac Tchad du territoire du Niger, constitue aujourd'hui la plus grande mare permanente du Niger. En ce sens elle est un grand site où se développe des cultures de contre saison.
La population de la commune urbaine était estimée à 33 882 habitants en 2011

Grabels is a french municipality, located in the department of Hérault in the region of Occitania and outskirts of Montpellier. The last census gives 7,939 inhabitants with an increase of 24,18% compared to 2010.

Abalak or Abalagh is a Tuareg town in Niger, located in the department of Abalak and the region of Tahoua.
The once green valley of Abalak is oriented east-west and is bordered by several small villages of Tamayas for 70 km to Agadez to Tahoua via Akebennu, Ibesetan and the large pond of Tabalak which, because of the withdrawal of Lake Chad from the territory of Niger, is now the largest permanent pond in Niger. In this sense, it is a large site where off-season crops are grown.
The population of the urban municipality was estimated at 33 882 in 2011
