"SWEPSTONE CHURCH STREET (west side) SK 31 SE 5/97 No. 22 (Swepstone House) 24.11.65 II GV House of C17 and C18. Red bricks with thatched roof. L plan with gable end to street stone coped with stone kneelers. Stone plinth to main range. 3 ridge stacks to main range and small stack to projecting gable. Front with 2 eyebrow dormers with leaded lights over projecting C20 ground floor. To left 2 storey gable with 3-light casement above and renewed casement below; beyond a projecting C20 outshut with thatch carried over. Left end gable has C19 leaded casements to first floor and attic. Projecting gable has C20 bay window below and half dormer above on inner face. 1st floor casement on projecting gable end. Right end has door with casement over to right and casement centre left. Rear has casements, door and original outshut with plain tiled roof. Swepstone Lodge (separate, of little interest) adjoins. Interior: ceiling beams and inglenook with beam over. 2 Sun Fire marks on exterior over front door."
