The Grosse Ile Toll Bridge, built in 1913, is a two-lane swing truss bridge. The bridge, owned and operated by the Grosse Ile Bridge Company, crosses the Trenton Channel of the Detroit River giving motorists access to the island community of Grosse Ile, MI. The bridge underwent major repairs in 1992 after it was struk by a passing lake freighter.
