EN The Saint-Mari or Saint-Mary church in the old Châteauneuf is noted as exceptional by Raymond Collier: the nave is in broken cradle, the rectangular apse is vaulted in cradle, with a flat chevet. It possesses, rare thing in the department, two collaterals posterior to the original construction (probably of the seventeenth century). Its facade is remodeled at that time: the gable wall and the bell tower are on the same axis, but on an axis different from that of the nave. The choir alone is built in a regular apparatus, and dates, with the nave, from the end of the thirteenth century or the beginning of the following century.

She has a statue of Saint Mary. The Crucifixion represents Christ on the cross, with on the left the Virgin and two unidentified characters; its peculiarity is that the cross is framed by two penitents. A painting depicts St. Roch as a pilgrim and his dog, which is rather rare (his representations are usually statuary), with the saintly tutelary of the church.

Another painting, from 1687 but of archaic style, even post-primitive, represents Saint Joseph holding a leafy scepter and a book, between Saint Patrice and Saint Eloi (Saint Joseph, Saint Patris, Saint Aloys and Saint Crespin according to the DRAC); this painting is inscribed as a historical monument under object title. The Gift of the Rosary next to the Donation of the Scapular (mid-nineteenth century). The San Sebastian oratory is a few hundred meters from this ancient village, away and especially ahead: it played a prophylactic role against the plague.

On site, an information panel (see photo) attests that the church dates from the 13th century.
