FR La chapelle Sainte-Anne se dresse sur un plateau du Mont Goiron (464 mètres), de la Chaîne des Côtes qui ferme au Nord-est la vallée de la Concernade où se trouve Lambesc.

Cette très belle chapelle romane du XIII ème siècle fut construite par des ermites appartenant, pense-t-on, à l'ordre des Pontistes résidant au bord de la Durance en un lieu dit Silvacane et qui furent les précurseurs des moines fondateurs de l'Abbaye qui porte le même nom. Ces ermites reçurent en don tout le plateau appelé alors Munivert (aujourd'hui, Manivert). L'acte de donation signé Teudebert de Lambesc date du 29 mai 1048.

La chapelle est un monument en forme de croix latine, au toit couvert de lauses, pierres plates carrées tirées des roches même du plateau. Les contre-forts extérieurs soutiennent une voûte en berceau qui supporte cette lourde toiture. Un campanile sans cloche s'élève au-dessus du chœur.

La chapelle placée sous le vocable de Sainte-Marie fit partie des possessions de l'abbaye bénédictine Saint-André d'Avignon jusqu'en 1155. A cette date, elle est cédée à l'Abbaye de Silvacane et desservie par ses abbés jusqu'à leur disparition en 1444. Elle passe alors au Chapitre d'Aix avec Silvacane. Ce n'est qu'au XVIème siècle que "La Filleule de Silvacane" passe sous le vocable de Sainte-Anne. Elle devient un lieu de pèlerinages, où les habitants des villages voisins venaient en foule prier la Sainte pour obtenir la pluie. Des ermites entretenaient le modeste sanctuaire, vivant de la charité publique et du produit de leurs jardins.

Avant d'arriver à la chapelle, on longe la barre sud du plateau de Manivert où, creusée dans le roc, les grottes dites de la Baume servaient d'abris aux premières familles vivant sur le plateau.

Aménagées par les Cénobites, constructeurs de la chapelle, ces grottes de différentes dimensions servaient de logements, écuries ou granges. Egalement creusés dans le roc, des réservoirs recevaient l'eau pluviale amenée par un réseau de petites rigoles que l'on pense pouvoir dater du XIème siècle.

Autour du sanctuaire s'étendait le cimetière dont certaines tombes, encore visibles, étaient creusées, elles aussi, à même le roc.
EN The chapel Sainte-Anne stands on a plateau of Mont Goiron (464 meters), the Chaîne des Côtes which closes in the northeast the valley of Concernade where Lambesc is located.

This beautiful Romanesque chapel of the 13th century was built by hermits belonging, it is believed, to the order of the Pontists residing at the edge of the Durance in a place called Silvacane and who were the precursors of the founding monks of the Abbey that bears the same name. These hermits received as a gift the whole plateau then called Munivert (today, Manivert). The deed of gift signed Teudebert de Lambesc dates from May 29, 1048.

The chapel is a monument in the shape of a Latin cross, the roof covered with lause, square flat stones drawn from the same rocks of the plateau. The external counter-forts support a barrel vault supporting this heavy roof. A campanile without bell rises above the choir.

The chapel under the name of St. Mary became part of the Benedictine abbey of St. Andrew of Avignon until 1155. At that date, it is assigned to the Abbey of Silvacane and served by his abbots until to their disappearance in 1444. She then passes to the Chapter of Aix with Silvacane. It was not until the 16th century that "La Filleule de Silvacane" passed under the name of Sainte-Anne. It becomes a place of pilgrimages, where the inhabitants of the neighboring villages came in crowds to pray to the Saint to get the rain. Hermits maintained the modest sanctuary, living on public charity and the produce of their gardens.

Before arriving at the chapel, we follow the southern bar of the Manivert plateau where, carved in the rock, the so-called Baume caves were used as shelters for the first families living on the plateau.

Furnished by the Cenobites, builders of the chapel, these caves of different sizes served as dwellings, stables or barns. Also dug into the rock, reservoirs received rainwater brought by a network of small channels that are believed to be able to date from XIth century.

Around the sanctuary lay the cemetery, some of whose tombs, still visible, were also carved out of the rock.
