Long Description:
This Right-of-Way marker is located along a short trail which runs from the Lee Creek Bridge to the Visitor Center in Devil's Den State Park. The marker is just off State Highway 170.

These markers were discussed in blog post by Susan Young, outreach coordinator at the Shiloh Museum in Springdale, Arkansas. It is very interesting to note that it was a Waymarker by the name of Bob Birch who first brought these markers to the attention of the blog author. (visit link)

From that blog post:
The short concrete marker (seen below) stamped with R/W is a right-of-way (ROW) marker. These ROW markers have been in use since the 1920s, and “still serve to mark the right of way along routes in which the right-of-way has not been changed in the past thirty years or so. We began using the steel posts and markers at least thirty years ago. Any routes that have been re-monumented since then would have been accomplished with steel posts/markers. Conflicting concrete markers would have been removed at that time,” according to Chad Adams.
