At the bridge 'Auerbrücke' in Pforzheim, Germany, Baden-Württemberg is a huge sculpture of a ferry man located. The memorial is dedicated to all the ferrymen of former ages.
The sculpture was created by Rob Krier. The basement was created by his brother Leon Krier. It was created in 1988-90. The sculpture has a heigt of 2.90 meters and consists of bronze.
The monument was donated by Bruno Bader. It's located at a symbolic location: above the confluence of the two rivers Enz and Nagold.
