Welcome to Texas, the 28th state to enter the Union, and the largest in the lower 48 states. You're on Sowell's Bluff and you've come into Fannin County. To the east and west the closest communities are Ravenna, Ivanhoe, and Mulberry, but they are quiet and very rural. Twelve miles ahead of you down Highway 78 is Bonham, the county seat, where you'll find considerably more in the way of modern civilization.
