Several trails fan out from this point leading into the Superstition Mountains and Superstition Wilderness Area. The terrain is upper Sonoran desert so much of the flora and almost all of the fauna tend to bite, poke, poison or worse. There are no facilities available on the trail or at the trailhead except for parking. Anything required on the trail must be packed in, and out. This is an extremely busy area used by geocachers, hikers, bikers and horseback riders. There are scenic views of the mountains and down into the valley and at times one can find a bit of solitude.
