The post office in Sayre is located at 201 N. Fourth Street. This is a tall light-colored brick building with a wide frieze area which reads "United States Post Office/Sayre, Oklahoma." A smaller sign above the door reads "Zip Code 73662." The building has an ornate area above the double front doors which has intricate metal filigree work, with a metal USPS eagle emblem.

The building is symmetrical and has tall, six-pane fixed windows which are slightly recessed. A concrete water table encircles the building. Construction was completed in 1939 with federal funding.
