Rakkaalla lapsella on monta nimeä. koski kulkee täällä nimillä Mommolanjoen Sahankulmankoski sekä Kaunistonkoski. Tänä päivänä mylly, saha ja pärehöylä ovat autioita ja vailla huolenpitoa, raunioituvia.
Mommolankoski on aikanaan antanut voimaa myllylle, sahalle ja pärehöylälle sekä alueen ensimmäiselle sähkölaitokselle. Saha perustettiin 1700-luvulla ja siitä on vielä jäljellä vanhoja patoaltaita. Mommola's rapid has given power to the mill, sawmill and shakeplane and also to the first power plant in the area. The saw was founded in the 18th century and it still has old damponds. The sawmill was founded by merchant Wittfoot 1744, and it was the most magnificent in the region. It had two frames and 20 blades. About 100 meters from the upper course there is a dam that is usually crossable with dry feet. The old sawn building is at dam. All the buildings here are abandoned and in really bad condition, so please, do not go inside!
