Besides their Facebook page, they don't have much of an Internet presence beyond the occasional reference in an obituary, or numerous web-spidered listings. However, one hit turns up a founding year of 1854, which their Facebook page corroborates. This is a nice little country church, about four-and-a-half miles from Licking. The cemetery has nearly 2000 burials, and it dates to at least the 1860s.

A notable burial here is that of Miyoshi Umeki, the first Asian actress to win an Academy Award, for Sayonara, and best known to many of us for her last role, as Mrs. Livingston on The Courtship of Eddie's Father. She and her second husband, Randall Hood, are buried together in the northeast quadrant of Boone Creek Cemetery, within view of the road that travels through. Their modern, gray granite headstone has the family name, "Hood", at the top, and their personal dates are below:
