Seit 1784 schmückt der Brunnen aus Seebergener Sandstein (der mehrmals umplatziert wurde) auf dem Erfurter Domplatz das weitere Ensemble mit dem Dom und der St. Severinkirche. Auf ihm thront die mit Schild und Schwertbewehrte Göttin Athene.
