The purpose of this planting is many fold, fist it provides cover and feed for the Quail population in one effort to maintain and encourage the Quail stock in the area.
Two it is a teaching tool for the elementary school children who planted the plot.
Third it preserves original prairie plants and returns the area to it's native look and growth.
