The dark, bronze plaque is attached to an almost semi-circular stone bench in the 'Corner Park', and it reads:
FOUNDERS CORNER
This Park was planted in 1932
by the residents of Mt Wilson
in Memory of
E.K. Cox G.H. Cox J.D. Cox W. Hay
E.C. Merewether J. Gregson
R. Wynne R. Kirk E. Du Faur
Judge M.H. Stephen
Who came to Mt Wilson
1875-1880
The names of Cox, Hay, Wynne, and Du Faur all are associated with geographical features of the area, but it is unknown if the specific persons mentioned here are those that relate to: Cox River, Mount Hay, Wynnes Rock, and Du Faurs Canyon. Most likely Wynnes Rock, and Du Faurs Canyon would be, as they are in the immediate area.
