FR Le village de Courbons, au nord-ouest de Digne, est perché sur un contrefort du Siron. Il est situé à 6 km de Digne et a été rattaché à Digne en 1862 pour permettre la création d’une ligne de chemin de fer.
Dominant le village, l’actuelle tour de l’horloge était probablement à l’origine une tour de guet médiévale érigée par un seigneur local autour du XIème siècle.
EN The village of Courbons, north-west of Digne, is perched on a buttress of Siron. It is located 6 km from Digne and was attached to Digne in 1862 to allow the creation of a railway line.
Dominating the village, the current clock tower was probably originally a medieval watchtower erected by a local lord around the 11th century.
