The mile post is a cast-iron post located on the A523 south side of the village of Waterhouses.

It is Grade II listed.
The description given by Historic England is as follows:
"Milepost. Circa 1834. Cast iron. Cylindrical with enlarged headbearing 2 inscribed panels: Left hand panel: "LEEK / 7 / MILES". Right hand panel: "ASHB N / 8 / MILES ; shaft inscribed "...NDON 147 MILES". The cap of the milepost is missing." Source: (visit link)
