A couple of times I had tried to access this trig from the south, west, and east, so this time tried from the north. With some road/bridge closures, it was a circuitous route that I took to Skimmings Gap Road. At the turn-off south to Killarney Road is a wooden sign, "F.W.D. Only". I thought I would 'give it a go', and the Nissan Dualis was able to make it up, and down, and up the rutted track, as it was dry.

After some side gates to properties, you will find this concrete pedestal trig right by the track. It had a broken post, and the semi-circular vanes (non-perforated) were left lying beside the trig. The intact Name Plate confirmed the name: Fosterton; as a "Geodetic Station".

See GCA: (visit link) for more details.
