The grave of novelist Owen Johnson marked by a stone plaque embedded in a brick wall which also contains markers for his mother Katharine and his father Robert Underwood Johnson. Owen Johnson's plaque, on the left side of the wall, is inscribed:

Owen Johnson was born in New York City. He was the son of poet and statesman Robert Underwood Johnson and Katharine McMahon Johnson. He attended Lawrenceville prep school in NJ and graduated from Yale University in CT in 1900. During World War I he was a war correspondent for both the New York Times and Collier's magazine.

Soon after graduating from Yale he began publishing novels . He then created the character Dink Stover in a series of books known as the "Lawrenceville Stories" that was the basis for the film, The Happy Years (1950), and PBS mini-series televised in 1987.
