A public pond operated by Sumpter Townshop parks and recreation. Renamed to Banotai park in 2006. The park includes pit toilets, sand volleyball, a swimming beach, playground and grills. The beach area is closed to fishing. Local tales tell of some large mouth bass in the pond. There at for sure bluegill and lots of bottom feeders and I have seen a few snapping turtles.
