Racial segregation is reflected in this centennial historical monument located at the site of the first Presbyterian Church in Texas, even as it acknowledges the charter membership of two black members, whose surnames were not recorded.
The monument is located along Spur 85 south of SH 21 in San Augustine County, and reads as follows:
