A combined WWI / WWII memorial cross comprising a wheel cross with tapered square shaft on a square pedestal and three stepped octagonal base.

The inscription reads -

6 o'clock face: IN GRATEFUL MEMORY/ OF THOSE WHO GAVE/ THEIR LIVES IN THE/ GREAT WAR 1914-1919
12 o'clock face: BY THEIR OWN/ GREAT VALOUR/ AND THE GRACE OF GOD/ THEY WON
9 o'clock face: WORLD WAR/ 1939-1945

Designed by the architect William Herbert Higginbottom (visit link) made of Portland stone. Unveiled 21st May 1919, Attended by: COL SIR LANCELOT ROLLESTON KCB DSO
