Location of equipment: 11466 CR-1034, about 1 mile N. of CR-1022, about 5 miles SE of Shamrock

This old John Deere Sickle mower is being used to support his mailbox. The pull bar has the standard mailbox attached to it.
This old mower still has some yellow on the wheels and some spots of green on the frame....just a red flag this is a John Deere product.

I can fin very little historically on this mower....I did find a short history of horse drawn mowers in general on Small Farmers Journal but little else...unless you want to read all those boring m"mowers for sale" sites.
