L’hôtel Boyer d’Eguilles est construit par Jaubert entre 1672-1675 avec sa façade baroque, précédée d’une avant-cour et d’un portail à carrosse récemment restauré. Cette disposition en retrait par rapport à la rue, inspirée du modèle parisien, le distingue des autres hôtels particuliers aixois. Comme autre particularité on note que c'est l'un des trois hôtels aixois qui ont employé l'ordre colossal. L'hôtel d'Estienne-de-St- Jean, rue Saporta et l'hôtel de Grimaldi-Régusse ont été construits selon la même ordonnance.

Le museum d’histoire naturelle d’Aix, aujourd’hui installé au parc Saint Mitre, a été hébergé dans cet imposant hôtel particulier du centre-ville de 1953 à 2014.
Il abrite aujourd'hui un magasin de mobilier contemporain.

The Boyer d'Eguilles hotel was built by Jaubert between 1672-1675 with its Baroque facade, preceded by a forecourt and a recently restored carriage portal. This arrangement set back from the street, inspired by the Parisian model, distinguishes it from other hotels in Aix. As another peculiarity we note that it is one of the three hotels in Aix that have used the colossal order. The Estienne-de-St-Jean Hotel, rue Saporta and the Grimaldi-Régusse Hotel were built according to the same ordinance.

The natural history museum of Aix, now installed in Saint Miter Park, was housed in this imposing mansion from the city center from 1953 to 2014. It now houses a contemporary furniture store.
