At the intersection of Mount Waring, and Ridge Roads is this 'two-storey' fire station, #464, for the western side of Lake Macquarie.

It is really a single-storey building, built with a mezzanine floor for gym equipment and storage. It has symmetrical, curving corrugated iron roof. The lower part is brick, with Hardy-plank cladding on the upper part.

This building was opened on 13th September, 2001, replacing an earlier building of 1967. [While I have driven past this intersection quite a few times over the decades, I cannot recall the earlier building.]

While the letter-board sign had a serious message, I had to laugh at the last part of it:
"Santa's Bad List:
Alcohol; Speed; Fatigue; Phone; and Re-Gifting"
