Alley Cat Warehouse is an antiques store whose main location is worth a visit on Indiana Avenue, closer to downtown. This is one of three Ralph Stearns murals you'll find here -- The Gorilla and Light Switch are the other two -- and if you turn around and look behind you, you'll see The Longhorn Steer over at the Branding Iron restaurant.
Obviously, King Kong is being evoked, as the gorilla peers through a hole in the building, with a green background. It's unknown if he punched his way through, or whether the hole represents dilapidation, with cracks spreading out. The cracks are in black and are rather well-detailed on an orange-red background. The rather buxom Fay Wray character does not appear to be fazed in the least. She's wearing a blue show dress, and her eyes seem to follow you. Kong is looking off to the left, with no hint as to what he is thinking, but it's probably "Back off."
